The kids are back to school and the sun is rising later. SERVPRO of Oakpark/Ferndale would like to help you prepare your home, with these useful tips.

Interior-

• Test your heating system
• Install a programmable thermostat
• Clean humidifier/dehumidifier
• Test smoke/Carbon Monoxide detectors
• Check for drafts

Exterior-

• Check your roof for loose shingles/leaks
• Clean out gutters
• Clean the fireplace/chimney
• Install storm windows
• Winterize/remove AC units
• Irrigate sprinkler systems/Clear out faucets
