Flooded Basement in Warren, MI

In August, 2014, SE Michigan was hit with a storm that caused massive flooding to our area. Even our highways flooded to the point that many vehicles were floating due to the high water level. Thousands of homes were affected by this causing basements to flood, this is one of them. SERVPRO enacted storm teams to come in and help local franchises with the massive volume of jobs that were coming in. SERVPRO of Oak Park/Ferndale fielded 1500+ calls of people needing flood services. This was one of our first calls. The water level in this basement reached about two feet. We removed all the affected structural materials, cut the walls up 2-3 feet and removed the affected insulation. We set drying equipment to dry out the flooring and wall studs. This home was one of many that we were able to assist during the 2014 floods.
